Michael Nelson is the Pastor and pioneer of The House of Peace, formally known as Peace Tabernacle Assembly of God, which started in 1987. The church is located in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been married to teenage sweetheart, Carmela Nelson for more than 36 years.

Pastor Nelson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Studies in 1984 from North Central Bible College (North Central University) in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and he has been licensed with the Assemblies of God since 1985.

Pastor Nelson is a very busy man for God; he is concerned about the entire body of Christ. In addition to Pastoring, he devotes his time and commitment to several areas. He has been on several mission trips; the Dominica Republic, Venezuela and to Austria, three times. He help conduct leadership seminars for pastor’s; assisted in Evangelism outreaches and worked on a medical mission’s team. He conducted crusades among 60 different language groups of people. He has served in several positions in the Eastern Region of the NBFAG such as; Florida Representative, Secretary and the 2004 to June 2008 Director. Also, he served as NBF Executive Secretary from 2008 to 2010, Vice-President from 2010 to 2012, General Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God from 2008 to 2018 and President of the NBFAG from 2012 to 2018. In addition, Pastor Nelson has been the speaker at various revivals, conferences and workshops.

Currently, Pastor Nelson is the Prayer Leader of Oasis Prayer & Fellowship for Pastors, Ministers and Leaders in Jacksonville, Florida. He is President of the PFBF of the Assemblies of God and a Presbyter-at-Large in the Pen Fl District Council;

His dedication for the work of God and his love for God’s people come from his desire to please God. He preaches and teaches the word of God. Pastor Nelson is an effective Leader and God uses him in many services to minister inner, spiritual and physical healing to people. He is a very humble and kind person, with a loving spirit and a passion for all people. He always put others before himself. Pastor Nelson is a servant that is known for touching the heart of God through his consecrated prayer life. As a true man of God, he is anointed to bring inner healing and comfort to the body of Christ.
